Company Description
ASML is a high-tech company headquartered in the Netherlands. We manufacture the complex lithography machines that chipmakers use to produce integrated circuits, or computer chips. What we do is at the heart of all the electronic devices that keep us informed, entertained and connected.
Project Description
The benefit of a stable plan for a production environment is well known. Despite this it is impossible to have a completely stable plan due to a variety of internal and external variability inducing elements. Although benefits of plan changes can seem obvious (additional output) the costs of doing so are harder to quantify. This assignment should aim to give us better insights in where, how and when these hidden costs occur and provide us with a tool that helps to minimize the impact of plan changes.v
