Project Description

Trigger for the project:
SACHEM Europe wants to incorporate sustainability in her production processes, new product developments and the thoughts and actions of her associates. Sustainability is promoted by many companies and by society and we believe it is needed as an essential element to take care of future generations on our planet.

SACHEM has globally planned to start several sustainability efforts in 2021.

Project description:
The project will require investigation of customer requirements with regard to production, packaging, shipment and safety regulations and cost-value aspects.
Based on the analysis the goal is to develop recommendations with regards to optimizing the production & sustainable packaging and reduction of the non-sustainable activities.
Additionally a proposal for a SMART action plan is expected.

Goals of the Project

‘Create more sustainable packaging & (packaging) processes’

The first step of this project is to analyze the current state/set up of our production process & packaging in combination with the requirements of our suppliers and customers, intended to map possible improvements and restraints.

Based on this ‘current state’ analysis, in combination with our commercial strategy, the student should be able to develop recommendations for immediate and mid-term opportunities.

Deliverables

– Analysis of the “as is” situation, including assessment of the current production & packaging options and materials
– Recommendations to optimize value and efficiency: Quick fixes and mid-term opportunities
– Proposal for a SMART action plan
