The purpose of Bayer Consumer Health Product Supply is to build the products our consumers love and that transform their lives.
Product Supply provides about 9,400 products to Bayer Consumer Health. Our 5,100 employees at 12 Bayer-owned production sites, as well as more than 200 external contract manufacturers, produce and ensure a steady and flexible supply of these products to our customers and consumers.
Consumer Health Product Supply´s vision is to continuously advance our trusted daily health solutions with passion, competence and innovation.

In this context we are now offering this “Supply Chain Design: Steering concept for a herbal medicine supply chain to reduce supply risks” internship at our supply center in Darmstadt, Germany – in the surroundings of Frankfurt. Darmstadt is student city with TU Darmstadt.

Deliverables
1) Conceptual design, modelling and financial evaluation:
*Conceptual design of the “stock decoupling point”, i.e. which herbs / extracts should be stored where *Modelling: in which quantity
*Financial and qualitative evaluation
2) Recommendation, tooling support for planner and implementation plan
3) If time and interest allow:
*Deep dive based on outcomes & progress, e.g.:
*Planning, i.e. PUSH campaign extraction after harvesting
*Transportation, i.e. material movement post harvesting to keep “freshest” product
*Storage, i.e. location, vessel size and storage conditions
*Quality, i.e. plan & logistics for retesting of samples
*Herbal extract supplier partner collaboration
