Project Description
Hilti has a global network of roughly 100 Central Warehouses, 800 retail stores worldwide, 900 van inventory locations with around 300’000 SKUs on on a forecast / central warehouse level.
The entire materials management is managed from 10 regional teams with more than 100 people.

Goals of the Project
- Develop fact based and identify effort drivers
- Review literature to give a recommendation on a suitable benchmarking concept
- Assess the state-of-the-art counting methods applied in the industry, and
- Recommend a modern, digitally based approach for Hilti.
