Project Description
In highly automated warehousing environments, seamless collaboration with product suppliers is essential to maintain operational efficiency and avoid disruptions. Unlike traditional setups, highly automated warehouses rely on precise inbound flows, accurate master data and standardized packaging to keep systems running smoothly. When suppliers operate in isolation, it often leads to fragmented processes, bottlenecks, delays and damages that compromise throughput. The research aims to identify best practices for creating an integrated supply chain approach where suppliers, logistics teams, and system operators work as one cohesive network. Key areas of focus include defining clear responsibilities for data accuracy, delivery scheduling, Total cost of ownership, and handling exceptions such as peak volumes or system downtime. The desired outcome is a governance framework that outlines communication protocols, escalation paths, and performance metrics aligned with warehouse automation requirements.
