Company Description
Van den Bosch is an international logistics service provider located in Erp, The Netherlands. They aim to drive sustainable and reliable change in the supply chain through intelligence and innovation. More than 80% of all their transport is performed by means of intermodal transport. They believe that logistics is not just about transport, but also about data, insights and know-how. They are constantly trying to drive change within the sector, which is why they are known as “The Supply Changer in Bulk”.
Project Description
Together we with one of our customers we would like to investigate opportunities to reduce CO2 emissions.
- Reduce the number of required cleaning actions
- Reduce the empty distance by changing loading dates to make direct reloads possible
- Increase the leadtime to enable more uncertain paths with lower emissions
Goals of the project
Give opportunities to reduce CO2 emissions. What should we do differently to make use of the different opportunities? Quantify the expected reduction in CO2 emissions per opportunity.
Deliverables
An overview of opportunities to reduce CO2 emissions with the expected reduction and the actions to be done to implement the opportunity.
