It produces 348 international, regional, local and specialty beers and ciders and employs approximately 85,000 people. With global revenues of €35 billion euro, Heineken is the number one brewer in Europe and the second- largest brewer in the world.
Project Description
HEINEKEN’s European supply network spans over 60 breweries across more than 20 countries. To address growing demand and supply fluctuations, the network must enhance its resilience. This project focuses on developing robust business continuity plans that optimize backup re-allocations for each brewery, ensuring operational stability and seamless product availability across the region.
Goals of the project
The goal of the project is to ensure business continuity by developing optimal backup strategies.
Deliverables
Comprehensive business continuity plans for each brewery in the European network, outlining:
- backup sourcing strategies
- re-allocation protocols for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
- response procedures for various disruption scenarios (e.g., supply chain delays, facility shutdowns, or demand surges)
Knowledge
