Company Description

Caroz, founded in 2000, is a logistics and supply chain management company that specializes in providing innovative and efficient transportation solutions for businesses. It operates as a fourth-party logistics provider (4PL), meaning it serves as a strategic partner that integrates and manages all aspects of a company’s supply chain operations. This includes transportation, warehousing, procurement, and digital tools for enhanced visibility and optimization.

Caroz’s core strength lies in its use of advanced technology to create transparent and data-driven solutions, enabling businesses to streamline their logistics processes and reduce costs. The company collaborates closely with shippers and carriers to ensure optimal efficiency, sustainability, and alignment with client goals.

Project Description

At Caroz, our strength lies in our people and cutting-edge technology. But every client is different, and so is the effort required to deliver our services. A previous project explored the correlation between client types and operational throughput, shedding light on the varying demands of our processes. Now, we’re taking it a step further: we want to develop smarter, potentially automated ways to gain deeper insights into the throughput of individual stages of our operations.

Your mission? Help us refine how we estimate the workload per order for potential customers. By creating data-driven insights and tools, you’ll play a key role in helping Caroz improve accuracy and efficiency in customer onboarding.

Goals of the Project

  • The aim is to understand which factors are driving operational efficiency, how we can influence these, how we can keep track of these factors and control them. Eventually this project should pave the path so that these parameters can be taken into account when calculating the costs per order for commercial purposes.

Deliverables

  • A built model (process mining) which allows us to register the operational workload per order, split in several sub tasks.

Essential student knowledge

  • Knowledge in process mining
  • Knowledge in building models
