Managing the outbound goods flow – Océ

Océ has outsourced warehouse and distribution activities to multiple logistics service providers. The fragmented landscape of these parties adds complexity to the supply chain. Currently, there is no supply chain visibility and subsequently no integral end-to-end control of the outbound flow which makes it difficult to coordinate the entire process from plants of Océ to the end-customer. The aim of the research is to explore what types of supply chain visibility solutions are deployed and based on these insights to design an application that is applicable for Océ to manage the outbound goods flow. This is helpful to monitor and control the effectiveness of the outbound logistics.
