Full members identified the ‘young’ talents who joined this exciting new initiative: ESCF Talent Table. The overarching theme of the first Talent Table event was ‘Disruption’. Many talents face critical disruptions in their daily work, while others are part of disruptive organizations themselves. Think about worldwide disruptions such as Covid, the Suez Canal, rising energy prices, or disruptors in term of the multiple start- and scale ups in the Eindhoven area.

The day started with a factory tour at one of the most disruptive, Dutch start-ups: Lightyear. Based at the automotive campus, Lightyear offered the talents a profound insight into the world of a start-up in a conservative industry. Roeland Baaijens discussed the resilience of the supply chain of Hilti. Arjen Grondsma from DB Schenker focused on disruptions in the transport sector and Alex Pap highlighted his start-up: XYZ Dynamics.

The Talent Table was closed with a walking dinner in the Cacaofabriek in Helmond. While enjoying some food and drinks, the participants were able to connect, discuss varying topics and appreciate good company. The goal is to organize two talent tables each year, in which the talent group from full members can connect, share experiences, and gain knowledge on a specific theme.

We received many enthusiastic responses to our first ESCF Talent Table. Volunteers applied to join the board as members to help organize future events. View the expanded recap here.
