The Annual AI Planner of the Future event took place on the 15th of June. The session started with a brief welcome speech by our program managers Laurens Bliek and Frauke Behrendt. Thereafter, our keynote speaker Wim Nuijten, Scientific Director of Eindhoven Artificial Intelligence Systems Institute (EAISI), took to the floor with a presentation on the status and potential of AI in solving industry-related problems. Presentations by the program’s PhD candidates followed where each provided an overview of their research projects. This was complemented by a series of poster sessions for some carefully selected projects by their respective PhDs. The event concluded with a networking borrel with some industry representatives from ESCF from which the program generally enjoys a great deal of attention and promise of future collaboration.
