Integrated Planning of Business Functions
Supply Chain Management is very much about integrating the different business functions related to getting products to the customer, including sales, procurement, production, warehousing, and transport. However, the task of the supply chain manager is made more difficult due to siloed business functions that are managed and operate relatively independently. This is known to lead to departmental suboptimization and even conflict.
In this workshop we will explore lessons learned from other domains about integrating business functions. We will also look at the latest developments from the area of planning techniques to discover ways in which plans for the different business functions can be integrated better.
