SSCF activity: Student assignment problem

On May 27, the Student Supply Chain Forum organized an activity together with Advitrae. This company provides semi-automatized scheduling applications. In total, four groups, consisting of both OML and IM students, participated in the activity. They had to solve a student assignment problem. Tom Avontuur, Robbe Cleassens and Joan Stip were able to formulate the problem as a Mixed Integer Program and were able to solve the problem (in 3 hours) close to optimality. As a consequence, they won the first prize.
